About Explore Yoga

Have you ever gone to a yoga class (or wanted to go) and thought to yourself, “I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing”?

Maybe you have felt nervous about trying something new, anxious you’re doing something wrong or worried you’ll hurt yourself.

You might want to get more physical benefits—like stronger legs or better balance—out of your yoga practice but are not quite sure where to start.

I’m so excited to share I’ve designed a new class for you intended to address these concerns. It’s called Explore Yoga and it starts this September!

This class is open to all, and is great for those who are new to yoga, or who are interested in a slow and steady active class.

You don’t have to touch your toes or be at a certain fitness level to join us. Variations will be provided and you’ll be encouraged to listen to your body, take breaks or opt out of certain movements as you like.

We welcome students of all ages, students who are plus-size or in bigger bodies, LGBTQIA+ students, and people who don’t feel comfortable going to larger yoga studios.

The intention for this class is for you to:

  • Learn how yoga props (e.g., blocks, bolsters, straps) can make stretches more accessible and also more challenging!

  • Feel confident in your understanding of common yoga stretches that you will encounter in other yoga classes

  • Stretch and strengthen your body, plus challenge your balance in a beginner-friendly environment

Mondays | 1:15 - 2:30 p.m. | September 9, 16, 23 (3 weeks) | $63 (2 spots left!)

This class is suitable for students who are able to get down onto the floor and who are comfortable kneeling on the floor for short periods of time. Typical movements include triangle, lunge, squat, cat-cow and warrior. Variations are offered :)

Class size is limited to 8 people.

REFUND POLICY: To provide individualized attention and to build community, we keep class sizes small. Because your fee reserves your spot in the class for the session, registration fees are non-refundable.

MISSED CLASSES: Because your registration fee saves your spot in the class for the session, refunds and prorating are not available for missed classes. Larissa teaches weekly classes online—if you miss a class you are welcome to join an online class!
